VividQ Wins KPMG Best British Tech Pioneer 2020

VividQ is very excited to have won the top prize at KPMG's Best British Technology Pioneer 2020 Awards, competing against hundreds of technology companies from across the UK in the process.After beating the competition in the London heat, our Co-founder and COO Aleksandra Pedraszewska pitched against a shortlist of 16 of the UK’s best scaleup businesses to take the top prize. She represented VividQ at the iconic City Hall, presenting our groundbreaking work in holography to an expert panel of judges from KPMG, BOSCH, Vodafone Group amongst others.Bina Mehta, Chair of KPMG's Emerging Giants Centre of Excellence said, "VividQ is an exciting business, with a very strong team of highly skilled people behind them and fast growth potential. They stood out from the crowd for creating something innovative and different. The judges were impressed with their potential to scale the business and their inspirational aspirations and concluded they had a good chance of becoming a future unicorn. They are fantastic representatives of what is coming out of the UK's tech community, which is consistently producing these hidden gems who are doing great things."Tim Kay, Director of KPMG Private Enterprise who works with scaling businesses said, “This is our sixth year of running this competition, and the quality of entrants was very impressive, representing a cross-section of the UK’s tech scaleup ecosystem. Each of our finalists has already secured funding to help with their growth ambitions and are doing fantastic things so we were very excited that they were part of the competition. We are very much looking forward to taking the six selected businesses out to WebSummit later in the year to showcase British scaleups and the innovation that continues to emerge from the UK.”The competition was judged on three fundamental criteria:

  • Innovation and disruption;
  • Market potential;
  • Traction and momentum.
