Role description

VividQ is a quickly growing deep technology company with global ambitions. We are on a mission to bring holographic display to the mass consumer market. Our software and IP for computer-generated holography is used by the biggest technology companies, developing next generation products in the automotive, consumer electronics, and digital display sectors.

Today, VividQ is looking for a project coordinator to help us execute an exciting program of projects with Tier 1 organisations. This will entail helping to deliver a range of solutions from proof-of-concept demonstrators to consumer-grade electronics.

Seniority: Junior to Mid-Level
Employment type: Full-time
Base compensation: 30-45K GBP

Location: Cambridge (UK), and sometimes London, with some flexibility to work from home

Your mission and responsibilities
  • Monitoring project dependencies, and evaluating and escalating material risks to the projects
  • Managing lead times for hardware projects, ensuring a timely delivery both internally and by the suppliers
  • Managing logistics, tools, transport and working space as necessary for the success of projects
  • Liaising with contractors as necessary to understand costs against budget and progress against plan
  • Supporting the Technical Project Manager with reporting progress against plan, issues, and corrective actions
  • Working with the Technical Project Manager, Product Owners, Backlog Owners, Technical Leads and Scrum Masters to identify priorities each sprint

Your experience and skills

The successful candidate will likely have:

  • A good degree within an engineering or scientific discipline or experience working as a project coordinator
  • The ability to be extremely well-organised, responsive and detail-orientated
  • Experience of managing risk, cost and schedule on development projects

Applications will be strongly preferred from candidates that can demonstrate:

  • An understanding of product development processes
  • Prior experience in managing procurement for product prototypes
  • Basic awareness of Agile principles and practice

Applications will be strongly preferred from candidates that can demonstrate:

  • Experience of managing Engineering Change Requests and BOMs, especially with a focus on procurement and purchasing
  • Experience of managing contractors and suppliers
  • Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in software project management using Agile methodologies

Location

This role is based in Cambridge, UK. It will involve some travel to the company’s commercial office based in London, and occasional travel to offices of customers and partners both locally and internationally.
